Mathematics

Mathematics in the Diocese of Ballarat is anchored in shared, high aspirations for all, within the overarching vision of the diocese ‘As partners in Catholic education and open to God’s presence, we pursue fullness of life for all’.

Successful mathematics learning occurs when there are inclusive classroom approaches and curricula, which provide sufficient challenge and flexibility to enable all students to thrive mathematically. Inquiry approaches, together with explicit instruction, provide the type of learning environment that prepares students for learning and using mathematics in the future.

Catholic Education Ballarat partners with schools to inspire school communities to be effective change agents in students’ lives by intentionally co-designing learning that accelerates student outcomes.
